Sydmoth!

On Wednesday the 28th, Ben and i went for a drive to Sydmoth on our lunch break. It took us about 15 mins to get there, all down the typical English lane ways. We found the sea front quite easily with Bens keen sence of direction. It was our first Pebble Beach.
I took a photo of the pebbles so you could see what it looks like. Cool huh. Now try walking on that.
We thought this was a cool view as we were walking down the beach. There are some cool houses and B & B's on the water front here.
See the cliff edges in the background... Feels just like home down at the dell. It was very amazing to see.
This is Me standing on the pebble beach. All along the beach front behind me is all houses and hotels and stuff. Our boss calls it Heavens waiting room. There are alot of rich older people who live here. Its a quiet little sea side town with some amazing hotels and stuff in it.
This is just the view from the path along the beach.
And another one.

This is the water front in the other direction.

This is as water frontage as you can get. It was a very cute place. We think its a B & B.
Ben took his shoes off and stood in the water. i asked him if it was cold. his response was "The longer you stand there, the colder you get". Not like Port Douglas water. I suppose this water would be refreshing!!! He did try walking along the beach with his shoes off and made it about 10 meters before he had to put his shoes back on. After we got off the pebbles and back onto flat ground, it was like getting off a boat and getting back onto dry ground. Felt funny.
Oh and the must have photo of Ben videoing me taking a photo of him.
This is all being done up. It looks like a fort for the houses. I dare say that the water comes up quite high and they need something to keep the water from washing the houses away. Well thats what im saying it is anyway!
And back to us again. Ben loves taking these photos. But if he couldnt then you wouldnt get to see the two of us together much. We dont really trust asking people to take our photo. Dont really want them running off with the camera. What would i put on the blog???

Exmoth & Torquay

This is us at Torquay. Its about 45 mins from where we are... just like home. Very different. Ben thinks it is Vey stuck in the 80's. Quite funny actually.
This was a nice water fountain that we saw. Just thought i would put that one in!
This is of the church and houses from the water front. There would be some houses with some amazing views. Cost a bunch too!
Here is the two of us in the garden on the water front. Look how green it is. Bet there is nothing green in Oz hey!
This Photo doesnt really do the Sea Gull justice.... Its massive. We have never seen sea gulls this big before. We were told about them but wen we saw one... Oh my goodness they look like the size of 2 put together! I will take a better photo so you can see the size up against something!
Oh the photos below are where we went first, the we went to Torquay.

Hi all... This is us on the Exmoth Beach. We Got the company car today and headed off to Exmoth for a drive and a look see! It was nice. Not like home though. I wore my flip flops again today and it was nice to feel the sand in my feet!
This is the Holy Trinnity Church of Exmoth. Was nice and large. Ben wanted to go in but i said no. I think if you have seen inside one you have seen them all. May have to change my thinking.
The beach!
This is where we had lunch today. We had nachos and coke. Coke tastes funny here... Even more so when it is Post Mix! The cafe was cool, it had a pirate theme. Ben liked it.
Here is another shot of Exmoth beach!

Meals & Working!

Well Hello again all. Sorry that they are so few and far inbetween! We have just finished working our 64.5 hour week this week. Working holiday my butt... Theres no holiday here! Ben keeps reminding me that its worth it in the long run. Im yet to see! So the photo above is of us having our lunch on Friday. We get fed really well here. We start work at about 10:15am, as we are setting up we all have a bowl of cereal or toast. (Yes ma i have found Lacto milk here!) The pub opens at 11am and the locals pile in for their pints almost straight away. A couple of times they have been waiting at the door for them to open. That is what i call ALCOHOLICS! hehehe. Then food gets served from 12 til 2. We clean up and get em out and the pub closes at 3pm. Then we get to have our lunch at about 3:30ish. See the photo below!
This was my lunch on Friday. It was a Lamb and Gravy Stew. Was quite Yummy. And i have done well in eating most of what is put on my plate. So Dad and mum Peck, you dont have to worry that we are not geting fed well enough!!!
While we are on our breaks, the boys usually find something to occupy themselves with. Here you go Justin, This is all the golfing practice Ben is getting. They play each other on Microsoft Golf and it takes hours. this photo is of Ben, Mark our manager to his right and Jay to Marks right. i took this photo and was told to go back to sleep. Beck and i generally sleep after lunch until about 5:45pm, then we start work again at 6pm. The pub opens at 6 but we dont serve food til 6:30pm. Food finishes at 9:30pm and the pub stops serving drinks at 11pm. the locals hang around forever so Beck and i usually head off to bed while Ben & Jay wait for everyone to leave. I will get a pic of Ben behind the bar for you all as living proof that he actually does work now... hehehe! Na he is really good at pulling beers and talking to the customers. The locals are weird and will take a little to get use to. Ben thinks they suck!
Well we have the day off tomorrow so hopefully we will go and do something fun so you have some cool pictures to look at.
Love you all. Night!

Woodbury Salterton & the surrounds!

The Photo above is of a house that Ben thinks is from Edward Scissor Hands. I think it looks like it could be in the Darling Buds of may!!! It looks cool and was very nice.

This is what the roads look like in Woodbury. They are all Hedged on the sides. Its so England!

Look Open feilds!

This is a cute house that is just up the road from us.

This is the church that is just up the road. It has the Cemetery in the grounds too. I think most of the Churches have this. It looks cool but freaky to know there are dead people right there.
Here is another view of the church!
Lookits a pink house right in the middle of normal England houses. i thought that was funny to have a bright pink house. Its just up the road from us too. Its Ugly.
This is of the Caravan park that Ben got into trouble for being in. He only told me about that today. Hehehe

Here is the road to Woodbury (hence the sign). How cool do the streets look. Ben thinks this looks like something out of the Blaire Witch Project.
So i hope you like where we live at the moment. Will post more photos soon.

Well we made it here easy as pie. This last photo is where we work. Cute Huh???
We have worked about 3 days now. Sorry we havn't kept you updated but when you start at 10.30am a break at 3 then work from 6pm to 11pm at night, We are a tad tired and dont have much time for the internet. Its St Patricks Day today and we have a full house tonight starting in less than an hour. Ben is doing a great job, he has picked it up so well. We both need a little more time to get use to the locals and what each one has and in which glass sitting at which table. Its all fun and games i suppose. I hate starting new jobs so, so far i feel useless. Give me back my desk job cos my feet hurt so much. At least my bum doesnt hurt! We will keep you updated with more photos of the place. The Diggers has a web site if you want to have a look. www.diggersrest.co.uk well til we chat again. Have a great English Mothers day and we love you Mummys!!!!!!

Trafalgar Square & St Paul's Cathedral!

These photos are of Ben and Myself at Trafalgar (raglafart) Square! We took a couple of photos witth the fountains.

The photo above is of the two of us infornt of the National Art Museum. We didn't go inside as we had done alot today, And we are not fans of Museums.
The Water fountain.
There are 4 of these Lions in Trafalgar Square. Lots of people sitting on them and all around them.
The Art Museum.
Another Lion... See how many people there are!

After visiting Trafalgar Square, we walked to St Paul's Cathedral. It was a long walk. I was prepared for a long walk today. I wore my Flip Flops! Thats right, Im in London and i was walking around in my flip flops. Katie and i have been talking about it for the last couple of days. After yesterdays Museum trip and how much my feet hurt, i wanted to be comfortable. So what better than wearing my flip flops. I did have my leg warmers on that Ben bought for me when i was sick on our first week here when he went to Cambridge.

The Photo above is of St Pauls Cathedral. It is the front, not all of it as they are doing some cleaning out the front and have all the tarps and construction stuff up on it.
This photo is what we walked up the Strand and saw. It was amazing to see as you were walking up the street.
THis is of the front as well.
This is from the little park as we were walking away. It was a nice little grass area with water features and stuff like that. Imagine getting married there Ez. Ill fly you here for it... Everyone else can make there own way here!

So that is it. An amazing place. There were services you could go to but none coincided with the time that we were there. We did go to Hillsong the other night but i dare say it would be alot different to that.
